HomeEspaña has made her dream come true, after Karima from Morocco and Marco from the United States completed the purchase of their holiday apartment in Oliva for €140,000 on September 12th, 2025.
The modern three-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is only a 5-minute walk to the beach and was sold fully furnished as well.
“The goal was to be on the coast and close enough to Valencia to drive,” Karima says.
The couple plan to use the apartment for short-term rental and as a holiday home to visit once or twice a year.
Karima, who lives in Las Vegas with her husband, who works in finance, and their 5-year-old daughter, says she stayed in touch with her British friends and visited them while on another trip to Spain.
“They told me about their experience with HomeEspaña, and I just thought, wow, that’s a great idea! And that is how everything started.”
Karima said her friends were in London when they completed the purchase of their dream home with HomeEspaña.
“They took care of everything here (in Spain) and that was encouraging.”
Karima said HomeEspaña started by emailing properties near the coast between Valencia and Denia and helped her to fine-tune the search to only include apartments that would be legally eligible and suitable in terms of location for short-term rental.
After viewing properties with HomeEspaña on 7th April this year, Karima shortlisted two apartments. In fact, she made an offer first on an apartment in Denia, but the owners changed their mind and decided to sell to family members instead.
“So, we went with this one instead and they were both my choices anyway – I liked them both.”
Karima says she was a bit nervous because she made the decision by herself.
“It’s my husband’s first time here actually, I was nervous because I had made the decision, but he likes it and he is very happy with HomeEspaña also and the help we have got from you guys. The communication was great and everything went smoothly.”
Karima also likes the fact that the apartment is also only a 2-hour flight away for her family in Morocco – and Karima’s brother and his wife are visiting them today in their new apartment, so Merry Christmas to the whole family!
