Golden Visa Requirements
Invest a total of €500,000 (+ taxes)
You have to invest a total of €500,000 plus taxes to qualify for the Golden Visa. This can be made up of multiple investments and dates back to any Spanish investment from 27th September 2013.
Individually invested
You can only put the house in one person's name as the €500,000 needs to be individually invested. If you buy a €500,000 house in joint names, you only qualify €250,000 towards the golden visa
Joint names - over €500,000
If you buy a house of over €500,000 you can put the house in joint names as an uneven percentage of the title deed. For example, €750,000 purchase with €500,000 in the main applicant's name (66.66%), and €250,000 in the spouse's name (33.33%)

Spouses & Children
Spouses, children under 18, financially dependent parents - all come under the umbrella of this Visa. If you are not married but can prove that you co-habit, (voters roll, mortgage etc) then this can be accepted as a spouse. You and your family members will receive Residence Permits, allowing you to live in Spain.
Schengen Zone Visa-Free
Holders can travel to all Schengen Zone countries visa-free for up to 90 days in a 180-day period.
No Requirement to Reside in Spain
You do not need to live in Spain to renew the Golden Visa. No tax residency or minimum stay requirements.
Permanent Residence after 5 years
If you do live in Spain, you become eligible for permanent residence after five years.
Work, Health & Education System
Allows the holder to work and take part in economic activities. You and your family members can make use of Spain’s health and education system.
