Retirement has got a whole lot more fun for Liz Kendal, now that she has her own holiday home to visit in the Costa Blanca, bought with the help of HomeEspaña.
Liz, who lives near Manchester, completed on her two-bedroom apartment in Los Altos in January 2016, agreeing a price of €65,000, excluding fees and taxes.
Together with her two adult children, and other family and friends, she expects the property to be used for five to six months a year.
When Liz first viewed her apartment in November 2015, it was also her first time in the southern Costa Blanca, but in no time at all she was wowed by everything she found there.
“Reasons for choosing this part of Spain included a recommendation from friends, the warmer winter climate and ease of access,” said Liz. “I had visited other areas but never the southern Costa Blanca. We had several properties lined up for viewing on my trip but as soon as I saw my apartment, the decision was made and I made an offer immediately. HomeEspaña were very helpful during the viewing process and continue to be supportive even though the purchase is complete.”
South-facing and with a good-sized terrace, Liz’s first-floor apartment is on an 89-unit urbanisation made up of villas, townhouses and apartments. It’s just 30 minutes’ walk to the sea and close to all amenities, including La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre. Communal facilities include a pool, gardens and parking.
Liz concludes: “I was aware that HomeEspaña sell homes that are many times more expensive than the one I bought. However, I was treated as though I was the most important customer at all times – both before, during and after sales.”
