Resale versus New Build Property in Spain: A Comprehensive Comparison
Whether you’re looking for a holiday home, an investment property, or a permanent residence, one key decision is whether to buy a resale property or a new-build home.
This month, we welcome new member of staff Chusa Latorre, who joins our Valencia office, working in the Aftersales department. Chusa is from Valencia and has lived here most of her life, apart from a few short stints in the UK.
We caught up with her to see how she’s getting on…
Hi Chusa, welcome to HomeEspaña!
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I am from Valencia, but I grew up in La Cañada, Paterna, when it was just a small village. I speak English and Spanish, but I would like to learn French one day. I travelled and lived in the United Kingdom three separate times. The first time, I travelled to Edinburgh and I worked as housekeeper in a hotel. The second time, I was in Leeds because I had the opportunity to continue my degree as fashion designer there, and wow! It was a spectacular experience. Oxford was my last city where I worked, also in a hotel just for few months. Living there really helped my spoken and written English, I also spoke English the majority of the time in my last job.
What did you do before you worked for HomeEspaña?
I worked in a law firm as secretary and paralegal in the International department. We dealt with the full purchase process for clients from other countries who wanted to buy and live in Spain.
Which HomeEspaña office do you work in?
Valencia located on Gran Via, 69.
What is your favourite part of being an Aftersales Executive?
Aftersales department is very interesting, all the cases are totally different, we have to liaise with very different kind of clients, and each situation is unique. So, I think that my favourite part is when we can resolve any obstacles in the process, and we can arrive to our objective which is to go to the notary and sign for the property and see the clients happy.
Do you have any messages for anyone thinking about moving to Valencia?
From my point of view Valencia is the perfect city to live in. Not just the weather, also the size of the city, everything is close to you, you can enjoy the beaches, the mountains, the historic places, and you can choose from a great variety of restaurants. Plus, the people are very friendly.
Thanks Chusa, glad to have you as part of the HomeEspaña family!
