Can we can get the electric tile cutters in the suitcase?
Dave and Isabel completed the purchase of their villa on 28th March this year for €192,000, but actually reserved the property back in September 2024 before they had even seen it in person.
“If I heard that someone wanted to sell their house, I would take them to the (HomeEspaña) office to introduce them myself,” says retiree Agustín López García, who describes his experience with the HomeEspaña team as a “10”.
Mr. López, a former ebony worker and taxi driver from Torrent in Valencia, listed his villa in nearby Montroy with HomeEspaña in March 2023 and it was sold fully furnished just a month later to a Dutch couple for €173,000.
The villa had been a second home to Mr. López and his two children for 25 years.
“We used to spend summers and many weekends during the year there. I was very happy there and the kids practically grew up there. We had rose bushes, a vegetable garden, the swimming pool…”
But he admits he could no longer maintain it by himself and that it was time to sell.
“My children (who now have two children each themselves) could no longer help me. It’s a shame, but I was going there and suffering instead of enjoying it,” Mr López said.
And when he saw a HomeEspaña billboard, he didn’t think twice and decided to pay the HomeEspaña team in Montserrat a visit. Mr López said he was looked after by Aftersales Manager Argemary Jaspe and then Valuation Manager Josh Carver did the photos and video and published the advertisement.
“Josh was very good,” Mr López said.“Everything went very quickly and very smoothly. Phenomenal really,” Mr López said. “I gave them (HomeEspaña) the keys and after one of the visits, Argemary called to say that the clients liked the property. And I was very happy with the price too.”
“Argemary is an absolute 10.” She is attentive, friendly – whatever I asked for, she came back with the answer immediately. Just phenomenal,” Mr López said. “And I think the buyers are very happy with everything as well.”
The property is all on one level and includes an open plan living/dining area with a fully fitted kitchen, three bedrooms, a master bedroom and a family bathroom. The 1,000m2 plot is home to a lovely garden, an 8m x 4m swimming pool with a filtration kit, an outbuilding with a summer kitchen and BBQ and another room with a fridge/freezer and plenty of storage space as well as a garage with space for two cars.
The villa is located just a five-minute drive (2km) from Montroy town itself, which has all kinds of services including shops, schools, and restaurants. Valencia city, with its airport, beaches, and historical old town is just 45 minutes away by car.
