“We felt comfortable with the recommendation we received so we checked out HomeEspaña for ourselves and they had a convenient local office together with 4 other offices, and most importantly, a very strong internet presence, so we decided to list our home with them, Gill says.”
“Rebecca in the office was brilliant and arranged for Rob to come out to discuss everything with us so clearly. He explained all the costs involved as this was just an initial chat to get an idea of the fees and current market situation.”
“On our return to Spain, we were most impressed with the time and care taken over the photography of our property which Rob did so professionally. He was never pushy with no hard sell at any time which was another reason we chose HomeEspaña.”
“Feedback following the viewings was again excellent from both Geert and Rob who kept us informed at all times, which was especially important to us as we live in the UK and put our trust, our confidence (and our keys!) with the estate agent.”
Just two weeks after listing their 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa just 900m from La Glea Beach, HomeEspaña sold the property to an Irish couple for €245,000. The sale completed at the notary on 22nd July this year.
“It’s all been a very smooth and uncomplicated business. A lot easier than we anticipated!,” Gill says. “The support we have received throughout the whole process has been so professional.”
Gill and John bought the property off plan as a holiday home 22 years ago and have great memories of their time there.
“Owning our lovely holiday home in Dehesa de Campoamor has been a wonderful experience and has given us the opportunity to easily explore so many different corners of Spain.
However, as we’ve got a bit older, we’ve started to spend less and less time using our holiday home, so we decided to simplify our lives and sell it. Our experience as holiday homeowners in Spain has been amazing and we will miss it considerably, but it won’t stop us from coming back to the area for future visits,” Gill says.
“We will miss the beautiful coastal walk from Campoamor to La Zenia, the Mar Menor, our train trips from Balsicas to Murcia and our many visits to Cartagena. We’ve enjoyed exploring inland Spain and travelling to so many beautiful cities and towns where we have absorbed the amazing and diverse culture and traditions. We will miss our favourite Spanish restaurants and tapas bars, the delicious food that we’ve enjoyed and the wonderful friendships we have made over the years.”
