The Stents, who live in Stalybridge, completed on their three-bedroom townhouse in Campoamor in April 2016, paying €142,500 (excluding fees and taxes) through HomeEspaña. Just a few months earlier, HomeEspaña had sold their old holiday apartment in Cabo Roig for them.
“After being on the market since March 2015, we accepted an offer on our apartment in January 2016,” said Jill. “Since buying it in 2008, our family has grown and with children and grandchildren we decided to buy somewhere larger for us all to enjoy. So in March 2016 we came and viewed properties with HomeEspaña. They were really helpful and got to know us and exactly what we wanted. The last property we saw with them was the one we bought, and our HomeEspaña agent managed to negotiate a good price. We love it – it’s great value compared to what you would get in the UK and slightly unusual in that it has a mezzanine level, where you can sleep extra people. Helen in after sales was great too, helping us to complete fast and even meeting us at 9pm one night to give us our keys after we arrived from the UK.”
The Stents’ new property is on a gated complex in the La Fuente area, close to the commercial area with its restaurants and bars. The inside includes three bedrooms, as well as the mezzanine, and two bathrooms. Outside they have a private garden and terrace, and access to a communal pool.
“We expect to come out four to five times a year,” said Jill. “Our family and their friends will want to use it too, so I’ll have to make sure we book our own visits in advance! We’ve not regretted a moment of the eight years we’ve owned in the Costa Blanca.”
