When British NHS Nurse Michelle Walsh asked HomeEspaña to put her father’s villa in Montroy, Valencia on the market last year, she wasn’t sure what to expect.
“You hear stories about houses sitting on the market for some time, but within a couple of weeks we got quite a few viewings actually, more viewings than we expected,” Michelle says.
Michelle eventually accepted an offer of €155,000 from a British/Polish couple that HomeEspaña had shown the property to in November last year and the sale completed successfully at the notary in February this year.
The spacious 164m2 villa is built on two levels with four double bedrooms, one single bedroom and a modern bathroom. The property also has a 548m2 plot that boasts a 9m x 3m private swimming pool and a summer kitchen and terrace that is ideal for al fresco dining. The villa is located just a 5-minute drive from Montroy, which is about 35 minutes inland from Valencia city.
Michelle and her brother had inherited the villa from their father who passed away last year. He had been living in the property since 2004, and Michelle says she has many happy memories of visiting her father there. “He never wanted to leave, he loved the place,” Michelle recalls.
When Michelle, who is married with two teenage children, and her younger brother decided the best option was to sell the villa, Michelle said she went to nearby Montserrat to look for an estate agent and stumbled across HomeEspaña. “We went in and everyone was friendly. They put us at ease and explained everything, so we just felt comfortable and we just ended up going with them,” she says.
Argemary (HomeEspaña Aftersales Manager) with her aftersales service was excellent. She kept us informed at every step because obviously I had no idea how to sell a house, so she just guided us through from start to finish,” Michelle said.
“I can’t fault HomeEspaña. I had no issues at all. so I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to sell a property or buy a property.”
